Managing the Church
The Church is managed by various committees.
Chaplaincy Council
This body was set up under the provisions of the Church Constitution. The Church Council is made up of the Rev. John Weir (Chairman), The Laychair, Secretary, Treasurer and other council members.
Music & Worship
The organists Mr. Thomas Dainel and Mr. Anthony Edwards are responsible for developing church music as international and professional as possible. We invite people to join the church choir.
In this section you can meet the people who help run the Church and find out what they do. Some of these people can be contacted via the Contact Information sections of this website.
Bishop
The Bishop is the visitor to the Church and so has particular privileges and rights with respect to its order and life. He presides at major services and ordinations and is always the senior person present on any ceremonial occasion. The diocese is in process of appointing a new Bishop.
Chaplain
The Rev. John Weir has been the Chaplain since February 2004.
He is Chairman of the Chaplaincy council and governs the life and work of the Church.
He is responsible for ensuring that worship is properly conducted, that good order and proper reverence are maintained in the Church and that the building and other properties belonging to the Church are properly looked after.
Prior to his present appointment he was vicar fo St. Peters Bethnal Green in East End of London and has spent many years in hospitals, chaplaincies and parishes. |
